Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 29, 2026
Halloween Haven (“we”) runs this website. This policy explains what we collect, why, how long we keep it, and how you can see or delete it. We don't sell your data and we never show ads on party pages. We only use an advertising cookie if you say yes.
What we collect and why
- Buyers: your email, and the order number, amount, and date sent to us by our payment processor. We use them to give you access, send your access link, and handle support and refunds. We never see your card details.
- Party hosts: what you type into your party page — party name, date, address, host name, notes, the guest names you add for personal invitations, and (optionally) an email for your host link.
- Party guests: your name, RSVP, number of guests, the note you leave for the host, and what you signed up to bring. The host and, if the host allows it, other guests can see your name.
- Everyone: a random visitor ID in a cookie, so we can count how many different people opened a party page; and a one-way hash of your IP address, used only to limit abuse (for example, too many attempts).
Cookies and ads
Essential cookies (always on): your access (so you stay signed in), your RSVP on a party page (so you can change it), the visitor count, which ad or link brought you here (kept on our own site for 30 days), and checkout (to connect your payment to your browser).
Advertising cookie (only if you click “Accept”): the Meta Pixel, which tells Meta that someone who saw our ad visited the site. If you accepted and then buy, our server tells Meta that a purchase happened (amount, and your email in scrambled/hashed form) so we can see which ads work. If you decline — or your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal — none of this happens.
Your Privacy Choices: use the “Your Privacy Choices” link at the bottom of any page to change your answer at any time. This is also how you opt out of the “sharing” of personal information for advertising under California law.
How long we keep it
- Party pages and all guest information are deleted automatically 90 days after the party date.
- Your buyer account stays while your access is active, or until you ask us to delete it.
- Order records are kept as long as tax and accounting laws require, even after you delete your account (without your email).
- System logs (for example, “access email sent”) are kept to answer support and billing questions.
Who we share it with
Only the service providers we need to run the site: our payment processor, our email provider, and our hosting provider. They may process data in other countries, under their own security and privacy commitments. We share data with authorities only when the law requires it.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, to correct it, or to delete it. Email support@halloweenhaven.site from the address you used with us. We answer within 15 days. Party guests can also ask the host to remove their RSVP.
Children
Our printables are made for families and classrooms, but the website and party pages are meant to be used by adults. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child sent us information, contact us and we'll delete it.
Security
The whole site uses HTTPS. Access works through private links instead of passwords. Please don't share your access link or your host link.
Changes and contact
If we change this policy in a meaningful way, we'll update the date above. Questions: support@halloweenhaven.site.
